In the course of the visit, Nikolay Lyubimov was shown developments and products made by GRPZ. Particular attention was paid to military purpose products – airborne radars for the MiG-29, Su-30 and Su-35 fighter jets, as well as for the Mi-28NE helicopter. These sophisticated products constitute essential components of avionics of today’s combat aircraft.
Among the factory’s advanced developments presented, there was a helmet-mounted target marking and indication system for a pilot of the Mi-28N modernized helicopter. The device looks similar to VR glasses. The pilot does not have to look at the dashboard as he has all the relevant information right in front of his eyes. At night, or in poor visibility conditions, the helmet-mounted indicator displays thermal imagery or a synthesized image of the local terrain.
Civilian industry products gained much attention, as well. Nikolay Lyubimov was particularly interested in FORA – electric vehicle slow charging stations, invertor type welding sets under the Forsazh trademark and unique instruments for measuring intraocular pressure, which make possible early detection of glaucoma.
Besides, Pavel Budagov showed to Nikolay Lyubimov an innovative development of KRET – a compact wearable heart and overall health state monitor known as CardioMarker. This can record the person’s electrocardiogram and heart rate to a medical accuracy level, automatically analyze the parameters and identify possible pathologies.
The head of the region was told of technical refurbishment of the GRPZ production facilities within the Federal Target Programs and demonstrated hi-tech production plants including an automated instrumentation complex for measuring radio characteristics of aerials, a workshop for assembling of onboard computational facilities and a plant for manufacture of printed circuit boards.
“What is the most important is that the factory, jointly with educational institutions, creates specimens of unique products, and is steadily moving forward from the point of view of science, which is directly related to industrial production. This is crucial for an enterprise of the future, – Nikolay Lyubimov, the head of Ryazan Region, noted. – The instrument-making plant is one of unique enterprises of the region, and is the one our future lies with”.
The Ryazan-based KRET factory is one of the region’s leading enterprises. It is the leading domestic manufacturer of onboard radars and weapon control systems for airplanes and helicopters. Sophisticated airborne, naval and ground-based electronic equipment as well as a wide range of competitive civilian industry products are also designed and manufactured here.
